Online delivery is available in lockdown The Government of India once again extends lockdown amid the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the country but this time, there is some good news for consumer technology. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has allowed e-commerce platforms to start selling goods non-essential during the third lockdown, which means we could be shopping for a new smartphone, laptop, and other electronic goods. However, the provisions apply in this case. Under the guidelines of the MHA, the sale of non-essential items through the e-commerce platforms will only be allowed in areas where cases COVID-19 were absent or rare. The Government stated that the e-commerce platform will be able to provide non-essential items only in areas that have been marked under the orange and green zones.
